But to experience these updates, your Apple Watch must meet certain hardware and software requirements.

To install watchOS 26, you’ll need an Apple Watch from the following list:
Apple Watch SE (2nd generation)
Apple Watch Series 6
Apple Watch Series 7

Apple Watch Ultra 2
📱 iPhone Compatibility Requirement
To install watchOS 26, your Apple Watch must be paired with an iPhone running iOS 26. This means:
iPhone 11 or later, or
iPhone SE (2nd generation or later)
Older iPhones and Apple Watches will not support this new OS.

❌ Unsupported Apple Watch Models
These older models will not support watchOS 26:
Apple Watch Series 5 and earlier
Apple Watch SE (1st generation)

Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
Tap General > About.
